I live in County Durham where I write children’s fiction and educational materials. In 2007 I won a competition hosted by Pinestein Press and was commissioned by them to write three short stories, The Ghost Twin Tales, for the anthology, Mini Mysteries and Kooky Spookies. Another of my stories was a prize winning entry in The Munch Bunch Storytelling Competition and was recorded by Gail Porter, while a further three feature in the UCLan press publication Letters To Africa. When did you start writing?1970 In primary school
What do you love about Short Stories?I love short stories because they can be read in a few minutes, but a good story will stay around much longer.
Do you write in other forms?Yes, children's novels. I've also written poems, scripts and educational resources
What distracts you from writing?It varies, but I now have a regular writing day during which I try to keep away from distractions such as tv, internet and shopping.
Outside of writing, what are your other passions?Rock music, friends, family and nature.
