I studied for a Masters Degree in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University College in 2001, and following that I was offered a six month mentoring scholarship sponsored by the Arvon and Jerwood foundations. I have been published in Staple magazine and in Leaf Book’s nano-fiction competition book Ada. I was longlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize in 2011, and in 2013 I was longlisted for the Bath Short Story Award and was published in their e-book Good Reads: The Bath short Story Award 2013. In 2015 I won first prize in the Selfpublishing.ie Winter Warmers short story competition. I'm falling back in love with the short story form and am working on a collection.
