Patricia Zoltan is an Adelaide-based writer in South Australia. A high distinction graduate of the Masters program in writing at Swinburne University, Melbourne, Patricia is currently working on her PhD by artefact and exegesis, also at Swinburne, exploring issues of identity, home and belonging. An itinerant seeker, over the years she has visited 18 countries and studied literature, linguistics, TESOL, psychology, healing therapies and archetype analysis, gained valuable experiences and earned degrees and diplomas in these fields. Enchanted, beguiled and fascinated by the short form, Patricia is currently busy dreaming up a collection of flash fiction, in addition to working on her novel. Patricia's stories have recently appeared in Bukker Tillibul, bukkertillibul.net, Nailpolish Stories and on Writers Billboard and she was the Winner of the Writers Billboard Flash Fiction Competition in March 2015. A dedicated teacher and mentor, Patricia has been sharing her passion for writing at various universities over the past thirty years and she is also a member of the international panel of judges and mentors of Mash Stories, an online literary journal and short story competition. Patricia is also the founder and managing editor of Tiny Bites Literary Journal dedicated to short fiction, www.tinybites.net, (on Twitter @TinyBitesStory). What do you love about Short Stories?I love short stories because they are an architecturally adventurous genre and require restraint, brevity, yet a fully-formed story with in-depth characterisation
Do you write in other forms?In addition to short stories, I also write flash fiction, micro narratives, novellas and currently I am working on a novel
What distracts you from writing?household chores - at times a welcome distraction

Do you have any advice for new writers?Live a lot of life, read extensively, write everyday, never give up and always give back, be of service to others
