Shashi Kadapa

I am the managing editor of ActiveMuse (www.activemuse.org), a Pune, India based no-fee journal of literature, poetry, and art. We have hosted writers from across the world, and have published three collections of short stories and poetry. I write fiction/ business management case studies, and take up IT work. I have a Bachelors in Engineering and an MBA and worked with a few manufacturing, sales, and IT firms, before I decided to take up writing as a full time profession. I also joined the dotcom bust of 2000 (lost heavily), took a few hard knocks, and thanked life when it gave me a chance again. Casagrande Press published one of my short stories 'The Gowda and his Bicycle' in their short story collection 'Cycling's Greatest Misadventures'. My work is published in other publications. My stories are based in India, have strong rustic/ urban theme, and speak about the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of common people. I guess some of my stories will make you laugh, smile, and cry...I am working on bigger works, which I hope will find a publisher (and land me a fat fee). Until then, I keep hoping and praying...My genre is 'humor, satire, social drama, women's themes, horror, occult, and science fiction'.
