CUT's editorial policy....

  • All creative work which, in the view of the CUT team, is of publishable standard, will be accepted.
  • Work that is cliched, insufficiently crafted, or generally unrewarding for the reader, is likely to be rejected.
  • If, in the opinion of the CUT Editorial team, there are minor typographical errors (as distinct from clear creative choices), these will be corrected. A substantial number of such errors, however, would be a reason for a story being rejected.
  • Stories will be formatted to preserve the author's exact stylistic choices, but since e-book files (Epub and Mobi) are subject to a reader's preferences as specified on their e-reader software, CUT cannot guarantee absolute consistency in how a story may be displayed on different devices.
  • The formatted e-book files will not be presented to the author before publication. However, in the unlikely event of any processing error being subsequently identified, CUT will undertake to correct it.
