Dorothy Gudgeon
Dorothy grew up and was educated in North Wales. She emigrated with her family to Australia in 1959. The experience in transforming from one culture to another while on the voyage to Australia sparked an interest in her keeping a Journal as she mingled with people from other nations. Her long career in nursing and opportunities to live and work throughout the world enabled her to gather stories that she would later write about. Many of which she has shared as a Public Speaker. She began travel writing at the encouragement of her husband Ronald and friends. Dorothy now resides in the foothills of the magnificent Blue Mountains in New South Wales where between travelling she writes full time. Her main interests are Philosophy of Language, Linguistics, People of other Nations, Photography and Travel.
