As a writer of short fiction, I like to take moments of everyday life and explore their emotional complexities, experimenting with form and structure, including flash fiction and fractured narratives, along the way. Though my first love is (and always will be) short fiction, after studying a Creative Writing MA at Newcastle University I have developed a burgeoning relationship with young adult fiction, and am currently working on a ya novel on the bullying of subcultures within a secondary school.
