A. J. Norton

Born in Somerset, my interests include writing, music, karaoke, travelling, animals and helping people. I started writing, when I was a child and have continued to do so, mainly influenced by literature, travelling, people in my life and personal experiences. I had my first poem published, when I was twenty-five and dedicated it to my grandmother who passed away shortly afterwards. I have had several poems and short stories published since, with the same publishers.
Future plans include completing my nurse training, recording an album for charity and advocating for people with chronic illnesses like myself, plus hopefully setting up a poetry and therapy centre in the UK.

Twelve poems published by a company called Forward Press from 2001-2006.
Two short stories published by the same company, "Greyfoot" and "The headless horseman".
Three poems published by United Press 2009-2014.
Song "If I'd known" runner up in Song of the year contest, 2007.
