When did you start writing?

2014 - on a train to Manchester

What do you love about short stories?

As Stephen King once said, a short story is like a kiss in the dark from a complete stranger.

Do you write in other forms?

I am writing a novel

What distracts you from writing?

hangovers and the sound of lawn mowers on a sunday morning, which definitely isn't a great combination.

Outside of writing, what are your other passions?

random adventures, Immersive theatre, festivals, comedy, football

What is your favourite book?

The Magus by John Foulkes

Who are your favourite writers?

Neil Gaiman, Louis de Berniere and Conn Iggulden

Where is your dream location?

Blackpool, with a bag of chips.

What one item would you put into Room 101?

Depressing soaps......yes, I'm looking at you East Enders

Do you have any advice for new writers?

Never stop feeding your mind with inspiration. Get out. Do things. Soak it all up like a sponge.
