When global disaster strikes everyone's faith is tested
The Reverend waited for the muffled thumping sounds of people in heavy coats settling on old wooden pews to finish. Then he took a slow breath and said in a soft voice: "You have come here today to praise God. And my job should be to lead you in that act, and by so doing help to deepen your understanding of the Almighty. But I must now inform you that I will not be able to perform that function, not today nor at any other time. That is because when I woke this morning I realized, with iron certainty, that I no longer believe in a deity of any kind."...
