Everyone knows it will happen. But who do we blame? Ourselves? Each other? Me? You? Them?
Dad used to deny there was a problem. Mum just ignored it. It was a lifestyle-threat, and the only thing worse than that was some bloke with a badge and a stutter turning up on your doorstep and trying to sell you cleaning equipment. One evening Dad came in, threw a copy of The Daily Mail on the table and said: "There, it's all bollocks! I knew it!"
