He said, I’ve missed you.
She said, was I the target?
He said, you know you were.
She said, well, perhaps.
He said, there’s no perhaps about it.
They looked at each other. They waited.
He said, you moved. That’s why I missed.
She said, you took me by surprise.
He said, liar.
