Beryl recently moved back to East Anglia after an absence of many years and is enjoying the novelty of being close to her family again. She has had success in many competitions, including The Yeovil Prize, The Fish Flash Fiction competition, Winchester Writers’ Festival and Writing Magazine. Her short stories have been published in magazines, newspapers and anthologies. She has a Creative Writing Masters Degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. Her debut novel, set in Dorset at the end of World War Two, is currently with agents and she has begun a sequel.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

Anne Tyler, Ian McEwan and Anita Shreve.

Where is your dream location?

The Isles of Scilly.
