Gill wrote her first book when she was a teenager, and has enjoyed writing most of her life, as well as being a voracious reader. Career and family got the in the way of her writing for a while. Redundancy was the catalyst that sent her back to creative writing classes, to find that spark again. In the last few years, she has had short stories published in magazines and been placed in competitions at the Winchester Writer's Festival. She is an active member of the Hampshire Writer's Society.
