Author of twenty five published novels in the Crime genre. Published by Pan Macmillan, Allison and Busby and Severn House, and short stories in various genre. I have been published both as Jane Adams and as Jane A Adams.
I don't write many short stories these days, which is a shame, as I enjoy both reading and writing them - so hopefully CUT will give that desire new impetus.
I teach Creative Writing at De Montfort Universiy in Leicester and have also been a Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Leicester Uni, De Montfort and Nottingham Trent.

Jane A Adams in 60 seconds
When did you start writing?
1992 Leicester, UK
What do you love about short stories?
I love short stories because it's possible to experiment with so many different forms and try out ideas that may not be big enough for a full scale novel, but which are eminently suited to the short form. I also means I can write outside of my usual genre.
Do you write in other forms?
What distracts you from writing?
Outside of writing, what are your other passions?
Painting, gardening and, of course, reading.
What is your favourite book?
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
Who are your favourite writers?
John Connolly, Neil Gaiman and R.J Ellory.
Where is your dream location?
What one item would you put into Room 101?
Do you have any advice for new writers?
Read a lot and write a lot and write little and often - and don't give up.
