Gill James writes longer fiction for children and young adults, shorter fiction for adults, non-fiction, text books about writing and language learning and academic papers. She also conducts several writing experiments.
She is published by Crooked Cats, Tabby Cat Press, The Red Telephone, Butterfly, The Professional and Higher Partnership and Continuum. She is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Salford University where she is Programme Leader of the English and Creative Practice Programmes.
She has always wanted to be a writer and a strange holiday in the south of Spain and her children running out of reading a material finally kick-started her. Now she doesn’t feel right if she hasn’t written something every day.
